Ditch the Turtlenecks This Fall: Tighten Loose Neck Skin with Ultherapy

Ditch the Turtlenecks This Fall: Tighten Loose Neck Skin with Ultherapy

Ultherapy® is an FDA-cleared, nonsurgical treatment that uses ultrasound energy, which painlessly tightens and lifts aging skin on the face, neck, and chest.

Sasaki Advanced Aesthetic Medical Center is a multi tiered cosmetic services practice in Pasadena, California, founded by triple-board certified plastic surgeon Dr. Gordon Sasaki. Treatments offered at his practice must meet Dr. Sasaki’s rigorous standards for patient safety, efficacy, and satisfaction.

Read why Dr. Sasaki recommends Ultherapy as a highly effective in-office treatment for defying the effects of aging.

How does Ultherapy work?

Ultherapy uses focused ultrasound energy with pinpoint precision to stimulate the contraction of collagen fibers deep within the skin. Cleared by the FDA in 2009, Ultherapy targets the foundational layer of the skin – called the SMAS layer – without cutting or disrupting the surface. This is the same layer that is targeted in surgical lifts.

The controlled heat produced by Ultherapy stimulates natural collagen and elastin production. This action lifts and tightens skin within the treatment area, creating a more youthful appearance.

What are the benefits of Ultherapy for tightening neck skin?

Benefits of Ultherapy include:

Besides the neck, Dr. Sasaki may also recommend Ultherapy to lift sagging skin in the chin, brow, or chest areas.

What to expect before, during, and after an Ultherapy procedure

You’ll receive detailed information before coming in for an Ultherapy procedure. However, there is generally minimal prep before an Ultherapy session other than removing makeup or skincare products.

At Sasaki Advanced Aesthetic Medical Center, Ultherapy is provided by Dr. Sasaki’s certified registered nurses under his direct supervision in our Nurse Injection and Laser Center in Pasadena. Our facilities are designed for comfort, offering a spa-like experience that’s welcoming and relaxing.

An Ultherapy procedure generally takes 60-90 minutes, depending on the targeted treatment area. During the treatment, you might feel a slight heating sensation or tingling beneath the skin. However, the therapy is overall painless and does not require topical anesthesia.

There is typically no downtime after the treatment. You may notice slight skin flushing in the treatment areas, but this typically resolves quickly. Results appear as early as six weeks, with optimal benefits noted within three months. The skin tightening effects of Ultherapy can last as long as one to two years.
